Telling a client a product is ‘green’ is not good enough for us. It is our responsibility, as contributors to the built environment, to be knowledgable about both the positive & negative attributes of a product. Our approach to sustainable design is a synthesis of the LEED rating system, guidelines of the Pharos Project, principles of Cradle to Cradle, and common sense. ALYSSA MYSHOK, bid, rid, idc, LEED ap Sometimes referred to as the bigfish @ BlueFish. Alyssa launched BlueFish Studio following 15 years of experience at both large and small interiors and architectural firms. Notable projects on her resume include Vancouver’s Terminal City Club and The Westin Resort at Mont Tremblant. As a keen observer of human behaviour, she maintains a lead role in the exploration phase of every project, working with the client and design team to define and develop a strong design vision. Outside of interiors, Alyssa maintains a longstanding passion for urban design and heritage preservation. Alyssa is a graduate of the Interior Design program at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Architecture. She currently sits on the board of the Interior Designers Institute of BC (IDIBC) as first vice president.

BlueFish Studio is situated on the top floor of a 1910 warehouse building in the vibrant Gastown district of Vancouver BC. Our door opens onto a kaleidoscope of heritage restoration, modern architectural vision, office workers, tourists, nightlife, boutique retail, art, academia and some of the city’s best restaurants. We chose to set up shop in this environment as it echoes our company’s philosophy. BlueFish Studio designs interior spaces that connect with people. Spaces that tell a story, communicate a message, evoke a mood. We design for longevity. At the core of every project is a tailored aesthetic and respect for functional requirements. We believe the strongest design solutions evolve through a process that includes collaboration and client engagement. We create interior environments for work, life and play.
